OkeDoo has a browsable directory of members and a random matching queue, and they are two different things. Here is who is in the directory, and an honest explanation of which one the Start button uses.
The directory is a list of members you can browse and open like any profile page. The matching queue is what the Start button uses, and it is random — it does not read from the directory, and there is no filter for gender, country or interests anywhere in it.
The people below are real members. What this page does not do is claim a live count or tell you who is online at this second — that belongs on the real directory page, which reads it from the system rather than from a number typed into a landing page.
Open the live directoryLanguages are listed because it helps to know who you may be talking to — not because you can filter matching by them. You cannot.
Plenty of people never open the directory. Press start, take whoever comes up, skip when it is not working. That path needs no account and no browsing, and it is the one the site is built around.
